Dr. Lily Amorous

Lily brings over 20 years of experience across a variety of settings including private practice, private psychiatric hospitals, sexual assault centres, alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres, youth detention centres, and community outreach services (e.g., Lifeline, Drug Arm). 

Lily is experienced and particularly passionate about working with individuals on the autism spectrum who have experienced trauma. She has spent many years in private practice working with those who have experienced trauma from families, relationships (inc domestic violence), workplaces, social groups, acts of crime (e.g., sexual assault, stalking), and cults.


She also has significant experience in conducting assessments, working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, addictions, adjustment, end of life issues, relationship issues, and overall stress management and coping. 

 In her personal time, Lily enjoys developing her creative arts practice, taking her dog to cafes and spending time with her parrot, snorkelling, shark diving, connecting with nature, pilates, circus arts, and indulging in sci-fi shows.  

Lily is also in the process of training her Pomeranian dog "Bowie" to be a registered therapy dog so that he can be her 'therapeutic helper"!

  • A fellow of the APS Clinical College of Psychologists

  • Registered with Private Health Insurance Providers
